How are publishing royalties handled?
The MLC and PRO publishing payments are required for Groove Monkey's use of your (finished) music. The amount shown on the calculator reflects your full artist/rights holder share of the supporter membership. What you receive directly from Groove Monkey will be lower than that amount, since a portion goes to the MLC and to your PRO. To claim that portion, you need to be registered with the MLC for mechanical royalties and with your PRO for performance royalties. If you have not registered yet, we encourage you to do so as soon as possible so you do not miss out on royalties that may already be available to you.
